Bruno Latour

Bruno Latour is one of Interboro’s favorite authors. Aramis or the Love of Technology has to be one of the oddest books ever. Taking posthumanism to the next level, it offers an account of the planning of a PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) system in Paris from the perspective of the PRT system. Some find the book inexcusably boring, but Interboro appreciates its droll humor, not to mention its audacity. As an author, Latour is better known as the founder / abandoner of ANT (Actor-Network Theory), and the leader of the science studies movement, which argues for a more fluid exchange between the sciences and the humanities. Interboro has also read Science in Action and Pandora’s Box, both of which it liked.
