Urban Renewal: the City Without a Ghetto is an interactive exhibit curated by the Center for Urban Pedagogy. The exhibit examines how areas of human habitat have come to be labeled as unwanted, unneeded, or unimportant, and how various means have been used in attempts to remove, renew, and redevelop these areas through planning.
Interboro's contribution to the exhibit was an indexed map of every urban renewal area in New York City, as well as an in-depth study of the development of Lincoln Center. The latter study, which made use of blueprints, archived letters, and transcripts of conversations, took the form of a board game that challenged players to guide John D. Rockefeller the 3rd through the development of Lincoln Center.
